PUNCHBAG Crew! Its been a while, so I thought I'd get a blog post in to update you on the last few months. We finished an up and down 2022 on a massive high supporting GBH at the brum punx bash. This was one of our favourites of last year and we levelled the place. It was a brilliant gig and every band went for it. I think that was the busiest Christmas bash in years as well so thank you to everyone who came out and partied.
The new year started slowly as we all had family things to take care of, but we weren't messing about. We've been in the studio and worked on some more new songs that are ready to land in the set. These are ace slabs of pure SUCKERPUNCH, but also have the added Joe factor as well which has only added to the Khaos. We posted a practice video of our new song IN VERTO on our socials so check it out. Its great to be working with a brilliant song writer like Joe and the new material shows we are getting there. More power, more melody, more SUCKERPUNCH!
During the world cup, we were entered into a sweepstake and only feckin came second! In a complete masterclass of football spawnyness, we won a run of limited edition merch from PINS AND KNUCKLES. We decided to bring back the legendary Knuckle head design in red this time and they flew out. We have a couple left now on our Big Cartel site so check them out if you are feeling frisky. We also have a tonne of new merch in the works as well so keep an eye on that too!
Back in October 2022, we went back to Europe as you know. Well, we recorded the set from the desk and we are going back to Abatis studios this weekend to mix it for either a live album or for future B-sides or bonus tracks. What do you think? New live album or billy bonuses? Either way, the set was ace and we can't wait for you to hear it. There is also a new video being planned. Its all go!
Our next show is this weekend in Bristol with the rather mental Dead Mob Rob on the drums. Jay has some things to do this weekend so Rob has kindly stepped in and he is a BRUTAL drummer. This will be ace.
