Well the worst happened on Saturday. The Stuntman finally ran out petrol and succumbed to the dreaded LURG and we had to unfortunately pull out of Debbie's birthday gig in Swindon. Now SUCKERPUNCH never EVER pull out of shows, so it was a bad one. We've been stabbed up, beaten up, puking up, had breakdowns and been half dead in the past and still managed to do the gig. In five years, we've pulled two shows, this being the second. We ain't no malingerers and doing it as a three piece just wouldn't have been the right thing to do as it wouldn't have been 100% maximum effort so we had to make the decision to cancel. We were all really bummed out about it, but health has to come first innit,
I'm told that Birmingham was well represented by DEAD MOB and ANGRY ITCH who kicked the place to death, The venue looked wicked so we will be back down there soon.
A spontaneous free Saturday ensued so Neil went to the Pub to help celebrate Mez from THE LIARBILLITY'S special big boy birthday. It was a proper doss and everyone (except Neil) got whammed and scared a lot of students in the process. That's what the Brum Punx are about. We are all proper mates, so even though it was disappointing not to do the gig, it was a laugh to see Mez being the king of Birmingham and to rob some wicked hot sauce in the process.
This weekend we are playing Oh Cancer up yours Charity gig in sunny Tamworth, The line up is insane so we are really pleased to be involved. Gav from FACE UP is standing in on bass as Craig is off doing something weird in Italy i think. The posh twat! Check out the poster below for details and we'll see you down the front.
